I have a Louis Vuitton tote bag and a few Gucci, Prada, and Chanel purses I would like to sell. I could easily get an authentication notice from a store, so proving that they’re authentic won’t be a problem. These purses have only been used 7 or 8 times.

What is the typical retail value for a used purse? How much is it usually marked down?

Well first of all it depends on the size, the brand and the model. Channel’s are most likely the most expensive, the LV , the prada and then gucci. But that is no guarantee it depends.

It also depends how old they are…..the older (vintage ) the less expensive. In storre the classic chanels go for 2000-4000 dollars, online they are priced 1000-2000 for a great condition used one, that is a model between 2005-2010
It really depends on the bag.
It’s usually marked down by anywhere from 500 – -2000 dollars depending on the condition

I would be interested in maybe purchasing, if you would like someone to sell some of them to :)
hope that helped

On Replica sites that sell replica shoes, bags, etc they usually have a wholesale price and a retail price, and wholesale is a little bit cheaper than retail.

??

Retail is what it sells for in the store.

Wholesale is when you wanna buy something in bulk to sell (like if you have a company), so they usually sell you a large amount of items for a cheaper price.

I was a retail Loss prevention manager for almost 3 years. I then moved and stupidly got a job as a receptionist. I want to go back to retail but I am not sure how to explain the dramatic job difference in responsibilities and show that I am still qualified to be a manager.

You moved and got the first available job.
A very acceptable answer.
And lucky for you in retail it’s already Christmas so everyone is hiring.
Good Luck

I’m having a hard time finding some data on this. I want to know how many retail stores in the US are part of national chains (radioshacks, Walmarts, Best Buys, etc.) as compared to small independently owned stores or small regional chains.

You WON’T find data on that, because NO ONE tracks that. The term "national chain" is COMPLETELY subjective. That can mean that they have a store in more than one state OR it can mean that they much have stores in all 50 states. Also, small independent stores are not required to report ANYTHING to ANYONE about their scope of their operations. Only the IRS cares about them reporting anything and taxable income is NOT going to help you.

How can my Retail businesses receive additional funding? I need to order more product ASAP, but do not have the immediate funds to do so. What are my options?

ask for credit terms, use credit cards

What is the difference between Retail stores and trade stores?
I know it’s a dumb question, but I really don’t know.
I was thinking of applying for Bunnings online, and it said if I wanted to work in a retail store or a trade store.

Retail sells to the general public, trade sells to other tradespeople only e.g. normally in bulk.

How do Retail stores protect the merchandise sitting on the outside of the store?

The only merch I ever see sitting out of retail stores is too heavy to hoist, chained to the ground, or monitored with cameras. Other than that, I guess they rely on the honor system, or having enough customers to tattle on each other.

I’m 15 and I have to do work experience for school. I’m thinking of using this to try and get a part-time job. I’m thinking something like Retail, or similar like a supermarket, but I just want to know what stores usually accept work experience. I have to do it for a week and work a full day. Any ideas??? I don’t want to do fast food.

I know for a fact that the Body Shop does, as I have a friend who did her work experience there. But almost any store should accept work experience, after all they get someone to do their work for free. Just decide which stores you like and would like to work in, and go in and ask the manager if they do work experience.

But honestly, you arent guaranteed a job after and you’d be better off doing work experience in the field you want to end up in.

At least 6 months of cash handling or Retail service experience is required.
Does it mean working in a store?

Yes, that’s what it means.
