certain programs …
certain programs usually are 5 year programs. Some programs in California have 4 year program. My buddy just transferred to the University of California – Davis which is a prominent school for landscape architecture. Landscape architects starting out usually make around 40,000 – 45,000 which will vary on what state you are in and what firm hires you along with what skills and trademarks you have to offer. You have to work at a firm for 2 years before taking your L.A.R.E. exam to be certified
thanx bro. do you …
thanx bro. do you know how long it takes to be a L. Architect, and how much they get paid in CA
the only real math …
the only real math that you have to be aware of is geometry and basic trig. Not too hard.
I love the fact …
I love the fact that Eddie George is not only a great football player, but also very good looking, well educated and pursued college when many give up or have no desire to, started a business, and to make it short and sweet, WORKED HIS OFF. He’s a great role model for children who have so very few.
thanx

Nope at least in …
Nope at least in CAlifornia you are required to take trigonometry as the highest level of math if you are in landscape architecture,

yup…I meant rewarding. Another great thing about being a landscape architect is that you can communicate graphically!
Thanks Eddie. …
Thanks Eddie. Landscape Architecture is a very rewording profession. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else…okay that’s not true. But nothing feels better than seeing people enjoy the spaces that you dream up for them.
Egyptians DNA? What …
Egyptians DNA? What is that? Many of the most prominent western egyptologist used to call ancient egyptians European BLACKS! That’s enough to show the ridicule of even engaging in this discussion. Europe, as western europe, appear in world history for the first time in the form of a legend 1000BC! How much history was already written when Europe appeared in the pages of mankind consciousness? God only knows! Europe as a cultural concept, is a child compared to Africa!
”although they …
”although they seemingly show a greater genetic affinity with the populations of Eurasia than they do with Sub-Saharan Africans.”
woops how did that quote about Egyptian DNA get in there. By the Way Euoroasia was 400 years ahead of ‘Egypt’.
But the last thing …
But the last thing I want to be involved with is the civil right movement or the civil right jobs or whatever you call it. Africans have been building pyramids before europe was even born, so we have enough history in all the domains of science to be as successful as anyone! the civil right shiet!
Kudos to you cuz, …
Kudos to you cuz, but the African people have been in America long enough to know why we came here for and how we have been treated by the majority. My take is that, as an afro person, I have to set up my own direction in life and try to be the best at what I am doing. It doesn’t matter if you are a genius in a racially founded society and state; you have to set your own path and bring about others. I respect eddy for being his own man and hopefully others like you are setting the example.
Sir; I am a …
Sir; I am a registered Architect in the state of Texas with 10 years of experience and a product of a HBU; an I say this to emphasize my direct experience in the profession today concerning minorities and their plight.
Who cares bro? What …
Who cares bro? What about hustling! I mean, I am myself of african descent and I do not want people to open door for me. The simple fact of him been seen outside of the typical football world should be inspiring enough. What are you going to ask for after that! Try your best cuz!
Give the guy a …
Give the guy a break! He is trying his best and doing something beside dunking or dancing after scoring a touch down!
i love the titans …
i love the titans and him

I make ALOT of money on the side online before I persue my real dreams
I am a Landscape …
I am a Landscape Architect and times are tough now…only two of my friends i graduated from 4 years ago have jobs, everyone else got laid off…i love my profession but it is truly tuff times right now….hang in there and dont get discouraged by the market,,, if you love being a landscape architect …keep the hope..
why does it matter …
why does it matter if someone is a minority??
all ppl talk about is that we need to eliminate race from everything, yet that’s all i hear them talk about. When will ppl realize that we are all the same. In the last election that’s all i heard about election day. Nothing about what obama might do for the country as president. Just that a black man was winning. He’s the same as everybody else.. just a different color. It’s scary to thnk about how many ppl voted for him just because if his color.
i totally respect …
i totally respect that he made enough money playing football to buy a landscape architecture firm, but i have trouble looking at those trite 1970s designs and listening to him talk about innovation in the field. I would be willing to bet my next paycheck that Mr. George has never read Charles Waldheim or James Corner.
What a wonderful …
What a wonderful spokesperson for an industry! Eddie George’s softspoken style and grace is surprising coming from a professional football player. It commanded my attention, yet his leap to landscape architect seems so natural. I especially liked his simple statement about what landscape architecture is – everything outside the building, yet the goal is to use the field to create a seamless transition between the two.
I had the pleasure …
I had the pleasure of attending several landscape architecture courses and graduating with Eddie George. It was very inspiring to see someone, who was a player in the NFL at the time, put so much into his schoolwork while he had so many other important events going on in his life. Eddie is a wonderful spokesman for the profession and it is great to see he has been successful with his career in landscape architecture.
